    Great Vacation - Highly Recommended

Excellent property! The cottage was in great shape, clean, and close to all the things we wanted to do while we were there. If you want to see Abaco, the property was centrally located for visits to Treasure Cay, Marsh Harbour, Hope Town, Little Harbour, south Abaco, etc. The beach, weather and water at Casuarina were delightful. Chad and family were full of information and we enjoyed talking to them. We are looking forward to returning within the next year.

Delightful, personable and clean. We thoroughly enjoyed our 7 day stay to sunny ABACO. Beach, shelling and the unofficial nature preserve nearby were highlights to add to our romantic holiday. Bring bug spray. Also, ask Chad about the private beach accross the shallow sea. PERFECT.

    SOOTHING, RESTORATIVE GETAWAY

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of our 7 day stay at our sand dollar cottage. My first reaction was "this place is spotless"....My very important requirement for an enjoyable stay.We loved being "off the beaten path" so to say. I felt the comfort of the natural untouched beauty of this place. It fed my soul and restored my spirit. The night sky, without new jerseys light pollution was magnificent. Our host, Chad, was very helpful with any questions we had. Sassy was a delight. Oh, we loved having the opportunity to swim in sawmill blue hole. Hope to stay two weeks next time.

We enjoyed the pot cake dogs...Ron and Vera our neighbors from Belgium were delightful and interesting fishing partners. The Island is off the beaten path and Chads place is even one step further on the positive side! Relaxation at its best! the Bonefishing is great! two weeks next time! Thank you Chad!

    A Perfect Getaway

This place was perfect for our stay. It was immaculately clean, and there was everything you need in the cottage. Chad did everything to make sure that we had all of the information we needed before and during our stay, and even had a soccer party when the US was playing in the World Cup. Sand Dollar Cove Cottages are located 25 minutes from Marsh Harbor - the closest coffee shops, restaurants; it was the perfect peaceful vacation. My husband enjoyed bonefishing on the flats right outside the door, I loved walking on the beach with Chad's dog. There are sea kayaks and two motor boats that you can use. We are already trying to figure out when we can go back!! Thanks, Chad for a great time!

    Fun in the Sun

We stayed in the overflow unit beneath the main cottages, which was fine--very clean, comfortable and surprisingly quiet. Chad was a great host, and supplied lots of excellent info as well as gear for some extra adventures while at SandDollar. The beach is amazing, ever varied, and I enjoyed the walking and birding in the immediate area both on the beach and in the "bush" behind the cottages. This is a good one.

A perfect home away from home.....

I´m not quite sure whether I really want to leave a review as I don´t really want to share this special place........... It´s hard to find the right words to describe our stay. Before we even arrived Chad $ Sharron had provided us with all the informations we needed. Upon arrival we were welcomed in a more than friendly way. Property and cottage were way more than we had expected; the grounds were well-maintained and looked after, the house itself was very well stocked, clean, charming and with fresh flowers sitting on the table - and with an ever so invaluable view of the ocean. We really loved the walks along the beach with Sasha, one of Chad n´ Sharrons pups, who adopted us right when we got there. You´ll get a real laugh out of her catching crabs. The beach is only a few steps away, very picturesque with powdery white sand and ideal for quiet, peaceful beachcombing during which you will hardly come across anyone else. No crowds, no traffic, just nature. Chad and Sahrron provide anything you could need for a great beach holiday, kayaks, boat, beachchairs, bbq, friendly talks, seafood and homemade cookies :). Name it - they´ve got it (or will get it for you). Great Abaco is a nice little island, it was fun to explore! If you´re looking for a place to go to get away from the hectic of every day life - it´s the place to go. Just grab a Kalik (or Sands), sit back on the beach and enjoy... We will definitely consider coming here again, as "the package" we got while staying here was more than one could expect! Oh and just one last thing, since can´t all be good: one thing I could have went without - was having to leave...

    Peace & quiet & comfort

We have been staying at Chad’s place for the last 3 years. The cottages are really comfortable and cosy – everything you might possibly need for your stay is there – even a washer/dryer to give your clothes a quick spin after a long and wonderful day on the water. The screened porch has a spectacular view and gives you a nice and bug-free place to sit and sip your drink in the evening, while the sun is setting. Marsh Harbour is only a 25-minutes’ ride away and has excellent shops to stock up on a great variety of food and drink. Chad is the perfect host, always there in the background, whenever you need some help or advice or to tell you where to find the Abaco parrots. Sasha and Sheba, the house dogs, will enthusiastically assist you in digging up crabs on the beach. We love to stay at the cottages because of the absolute peace and quiet and comfort of the place.

    Great vacation

We stayed for a week and had a fabulous vacation. The unit is comfortable (great mattress) and really clean, and has quiet AC units if you need them. We hardly used them with the nice breezes. We explored with our rental car, and had dinner at Pete's Pub one night. The fishing was good and there are reference materials as to where to go and how to get there. Chad is a wealth of information, and the two dogs are entertaining and good company for those of us who had to leave out pets at home. Beautiful spot-lovely quiet beach.

    Peaceful

We have stayed here twice. Chad's place is quiet and very comfortable. I go to fish and my girlfriend likes to explore and relax and walk the miles of beaches. Chad is a wealth of local knowledge. The cottage is modern and homey. Sasha and Sheba are the best ambassadors for Sand Dollar. We look forward to seeing them as much as we do tailing bonefish and beautiful sunrises. A great place to go and relax!

    Simply Great

My wife and i stayed for a week the end of March 2014. We had a wonderful time. cottage 1R is awesome, the weather was awesome, the beach is awesome, the fishing is awesome, snorkeling is awesome, bahamas Ricardo rum is awesome, bahams kalik beer is awesome though expensive, petes bar is awesome and most important the owner Chad is awesome. Whenever you make plans on the internet for a vacation you don't really know what to expect when you you arrive. but we lucked out and could not have asked for anything better. this is a great place for diy bonefishing, snorkeling, walking the beach and relaxing. the bonefish, there are lots of them, hard to catch but it can be done. for me small flies 3x fluro tippet were the trick, bring flies with weed guards for the turtle grass! nothing like dozens of bf tails glittering in the sunlight at low tide in the turtle grass or a school of 50 fish cruising the sand flats toward you at high tide. lucky for me there were some dumb bf not schooled in the ways of a michigan fly fisherman. Snorkeling around the little islands that you can reach with the boat or kayak was really great[a bazzilion fish most of which i dont have a clew what they are but they were beautifull] and a nice break from fishing. we met lots of nice nice people walking the beach, from the usa, france, norway, uk, everyone was very nice. the beach is nice as it gets you can walk forever looking for shells or just take in the moment. if you go to petes bar and like fish get the trigger fish if they have it, best fish i have ever had. the cottage is supper nice, clean, comfy with all the comforts of home. Chad the owner is a super guy and close by incase you need something or info. he helped us with the boats, fishing maps, directions in the area and even got us fresh mahi mahi to cook for dinner. the only problem is a week isnt long enough!

    Paradise waiting for you

My husband Stephen and son Steve all travelled from North Wales United Kingdom where we spent 11 nights at the most stunning beach I have ever been to - there was so many shades of blue in the sea. The sand was like velvet on your feet, it felt amazing. My husband went fly fishing for Bonefish he caught 12 in one day - the best Bonefish was 6lbs, he had an awesome time. The apartment was spotless - we all enjoyed the peace and quiet and most importantly for me was that I had everything I need to prepare meals as there is no restaurants in the area. This was not a problem I actually enjoyed having time to prepare meals Chad and Sharron have two adorable dogs Sasha and Sheba - Sasha thinks she is a human and wants to join in everything you do. She loved having a morning walk along the beach where she would perform her party trick digging for crabs and once she has achieved this she proceeded to do a victory role in the sand -she was very amusing – Sasha is the most intelligent and friendly dog I have ever known. Chad and Sharron are the perfect hosts - they go the extra mile to ensure that you are having a great holiday - we came as guests and left as friends and we are looking forward to returning to paradise sometime soon.

    Great Vacation

SandDollar Cove Cottages -a great choice for a visit to Abaco. Just 20-25 minutes from the Marsh Harbor Airport, Chad and Sharron have beautiful, well stocked and CLEAN cottages. We rented both upper units and had an awesome week. The guys used the motor boat and fished everyday. The tide chart posted on the fridge, along with Chad's tips... helped with each days fishing plans. Floating on our rafts with the beach and water all to ourselves was so relaxing. Need a good laugh? Just watch Chad's 2 dogs, Sasha and Sheba dig deep- come out covered with sand and happily showing off a crab. Do your food shopping in town at Maxwell's -you can find pretty much everything you could want there. Beer drinkers take note.... Beer is expensive on the island. We paid $13.50 for a 6 pack of Corona. The Jib Room has great steak on Saturday night and BBQ ribs on Wednesday nights. It's worth the trip back to town-so make your reservations. Chad- thanks so much for all of your help and for a great place to stay. We enjoyed our week and can't wait to return!

    Abaco at its best

We stayed at the Sand Dollar Cove Cottages for seven nights this past May and had a wonderful experience. The cottages are located in the town of Casuarina Point and there are miles of beautiful beaches to explore right out the front door. The property was both clean and well maintained. The owner Chad was always available to answer any questions and he pointed us towards some amazing flats full of cruising bonefish. I would absolutely recommend this property to a fellow fisherman or anyone looking for a relaxing, beach getaway.I am already looking forward to going back next year.

    Beautiful

We stayed at Sand Dollar cottages for a week. The unit was very nice, clean, and had everything you would need. The bed was exceptional, with a window by your head so you could listen to the breeze. Chad the owner is a wealth of local knowledge, his 2 potcake dogs, Sasha and Sheba became out good friends. The beach is fantastic for walking and lounging and sunrises and sunsets. Cherokee Sound is also a great bone fish area if you care to test your skill chasing the "Ghosts of the Flats". We are going back next year and our only regret is we only had 7 days when we would have liked to stay at least 10-14. We highly recommend Sand Dollar Cottages.

Great value for a DIY bonefish trip

Only 20 minutes from Marsh Harbor, this is a great location within walking distance to miles and miles of flats fishing. The owner also provides a boat and kayaks for exploration in the Cherokee Sound area. We fished and caught a wide variety of species besides bonefish and saw lots of sea life including turtles, dolphins, stingrays, eagle rays, sharks lobsters, crabs and various fish. There is some great snorkeling within easy boating distance. We also caught conch and made a wonderful conch salad with the help of the owner. We caught several species of small jacks and snapper that make for a wonderful fresh fish taco.Chad the owner and his two dogs made us feel very comfortable and helped out with sightseeing, snorkeling and fishing advice, along with providing for all our unexpected needs. The washer and dryer is really handy for laundry. The beaches are really nice white sand that is soft on your feet and we found an awesome variety of shells to take home. The cottages are very comfortable with a variety of configurations to fit families or groups. The bed was very comfortable. Our stay on Abaco was awesome and we would recommend this rental for anyone looking for a "cook your own meals" vacation. Our only caution is to make sure to bring bug repellent with deet, because if the breeze dies down in the evening the bugs can get ferocious.

    A perfect vacation

My husband and I enjoyed the week we stayed at SandDollar. This vacation exceeded our expectations. We've stayed at vacation rentals all over the world and this was by far the most comfortable and accommodating yet. The place was shiny clean, the king bed was comfortable, and the A/C was ice cold. The location on Casuarina Point is perfect for your own basically private beach, especially this time of year. The weather was nice for snorkeling, bonefishing, and of course just beaching. It was great having the boat available to do some nearby exploring which we took full advantage of. I would highly recommend this rental and we're seriously planning on going back hopefully sooner than later.

    BEAUTIFUL AND RELAXING

My daughter and I stayed for 7 days and had a wonderful, relaxing time. We drove to two points of the island, sightseeing, and quickly realized we had found our place at Casuarina Point. We we lucky to have a spear fisherman as our neighbor for the week, he brought back lobster and fish. We enjoyed the special meals and also meeting such special people. We already miss The Sanddollar, our new friends, Chad, Sheba, and Sasha. :( Thank you for such a wonderful time and sharing your dream with us. You're a very lucky man!

    Week Retreat

We stayed at the cottages for 7 nights and really enjoyed the serenity of the site. The cottage was very clean, very well maintained and comfortable. We walked the beach, read, my wife was in the water every day, picked up shells and just relaxed. It was a great getaway from our hectic schedule at home. Chad, the owner, was great and he was there to assist us in any way. We did not use them but Chad has kayaks and a boat right there for your use. I was a little dismayed at having to drive on the left but should have realized that based on the Brittish history of the island. We only left the site once to try a beach side pub on Cherokee point that Chad told us about - 15-20 minutes from the cottages- great food. It is a place you can go to totally relax, lay in the warm water, boat, you can fish, or you can visit other areas of the island. You won't be disappointed!!

Relax on your Veranda and read, sunbath with Shebe & Sasha or Bonefish the Flats

My boyfriend and I stayed here for three weeks in April 2012 and really enjoyed the hasitality provided by the owner Chad. The place was so clean and thoughtfully presented with everything you would need. It was lovely to sit on the veranda reading and listening to the birds. We had no problems with the excellent cable TV and WiFi service. We loved playing with Sheba and Sasha, Chads dogs on the beach whilists sunbathing or fishing. Chad was always ready to provide advice or help when we needed it with information about the island. The facilities were great: with even an outside shower that was great for rinsing off the fishing equipment before storing the rods on the hooks on the veranda. The bonefishing around Casuarina Point was fantastic with several fish caught on the flats just off of the beach infront of the cottages. We will definately be back and have told several of our fishing friends of our find.

    Relaxing fun,exploring,boating,bonefishing,sunbathing,conching,starfish,sandollars,searays,dolphin!

If you want a beautiful place to relax and explore nature, you have found your next vacation rental. We stayed in the King Suite (1L) and it was immaculate! Screened in porch with table and chairs, along with casual outdoor furniture to view the beautiful water. The kitchen/living area has everything you need. The bed was so comfortable, my husband who NEVER sleeps through the entire night, slept all night long. The ceiling fans kept the room cool with a sea breeze while you listened to the waves lap onto the beach. The place is about 15 miles from town, with no restaurants needed. Bring frozen food with you and you can cook on the outdoor grill, oven, microwave, stove, or even have a fire on the beach with Chad's covered fire pit. Daytime explore the bay when the tide goes out to find conch, starfish, bonefish from the kayak, southern sea rays, and of course Sand Dollars. I found 70 one day. Take the Ocean Kayaks (2) singles or the boat to explore even further. We found a small reef recovering well from a hurricane a couple of years ago. Nice sea fans, tropical fish, and one nasty guy called a Lionfish (DO NOT TOUCH). Our host was Chad, who made every wish come true. He has two well behaved dogs that love to swim. We enjoyed Shasha and Shieba very much, as we missed our own dog Maggie. There is laundry facilities that are just as nice as the ones you have at home. The kitchen was well equipped and there is even the staples such as salt pepper, sugar substitute, vinegar, etc. that guests have left for others. We were even greeted with a flower on our table. Only one disappointment, which Chad cannot control, was the abandoned areas on the beach about a 1/2 mile from SandDollar Cove cottages, had debris from humans, which would have to be cleaned up by community involvement. Some tips:If you want to rent a car, you can do so, although we could have actually done without it. We only used it 5 times during the entire week, Once to get there, get back, drove to the village of Cherokee, to the ferry, and then back to the airport. Bring bug repelant, because you will need it when the winds die down. The listing was totally accurate, and the photos do not do justice to the actually view. The place was immaculate as I said, and Chad was more than helpful with everything. We started as strangers and ended as friends. I would recommend this to friends and relatives alike. Wi-Fi available to stay in touch and send photos to family.

    Marvelous Month!

The month at Sand Dollar Cove is in the top three of our most relaxing and wonderful vacations. The cottage is well-equipped with cooking utensils, linens, towels, washer and dryer, and the extra amenities of the sea kayaks, a motor boat, grill, etc were as promised. The access to a quality WIFI connection, Skype, and Cable TV provided us with the connectivity we needed, again without any glitches. Chad is a superb host and graciously guided us to the best wines (A and K), grocery shopping (Maxwells and Abaco Grocery), fresh seafood, and day trips in the area (Man-O-War, Hopetown, Treasure Key). I'm a vegetarian and was able to find fresh fruits, vegetables, and Morningstar Farms products without a problem throughout the month. The sweet potatoes at the Abaco Grocery were awesome! I was able to walk 2-3 miles on the beach every day and rarely encountered another person while finding shells, seeing dolphins, and observing many species of birds, including the endangered Bahama Parrots.Be sure to bring your camera and water shoes to traverse the coral rocks when you cross the "creek" that leads to the southern beach (flip flops don't work!). This is a perfect beach for a family as the water is only waist deep at high tide with gentle waves and children could play safely. At low tide in places, we could walk out over a half mile which gave us great views of the neighboring keys. We had tasty lunches at Jamies (mac and cheese is fantastic!), Pete's Pub at Little Harbor, the Jib Room, and Junovias. Chad's recommendation to acquire a car from Rental Wheels worked out well although we did not feel comfortable driving at night (our age and not used to driving on the left). Other guests that we met during the month did not share that concern and did drive at night. If you are searching for a quiet location to relax, read, to walk on what Chad calls an un-peopled beach, and to return home rested and energized by the beauty of Casurina Point's sunrises and sunsets, we strongly recommend Sand Dollar Cottages.

    Great place to stay!

We stayed at the Sanddollar Cove Cottages for 8 nights during the Christmas holiday. It was a quiet and secluded spot that allowed us to relax and enjoy the beauty of the Bahamas. Chad was a wonderful host. He provided boats, kayaks, fishing gear, local knowledge, and even a bottle of champagne for our honeymoon. There is excellent bonefishing within walking distance to the cottage, a quiet private beach, and even during Christmas there were very few people. The cottages are very nice, clean, roomy, and provide everything that you need for a week or more away from home. This is a great, quiet alternative to the resort style Bahamas vacation. I highly recommend it!

This is a great spot in a great location that I will certainly be returning to again. The beach is quiet and gorgeous, the proprietor is friendly and welcoming, and I was extremely comfortable. Romance and Relaxation

My boyfriend and I needed a quiet vacation and from the reviews on VRBO, we chose Sanddollar Cove Cottages. We were not disappointed. From the beginning Chad has provided excellent services- from picking up groceries for us before we arrived, to showing us the best spots in the area, to telling us all about the flora and fauna of Casuarina Point. We stayed in the Queen bed apartment, which was really clean, quite spacious and very comfortable. We spent a lot of time reading, relaxing and napping, which was exactly what we needed. We also kayaked almost every day, and we had a motor boat we could take out when we wanted. The covered porch is a wonderful place to relax when you've had enough of the strong Bahamian sun, or want to stay clear of the mosquitoes at sunset. What made this trip really special was that my boyfriend and I got engaged on this trip! Apparently, Chad provided some really great suggestions and tips for my (now) fiance on where to go, and this was invaluable. He even threw a dinner party for us, and our really great neighbors who were staying in the flat next to us. The only down side to the whole trip, was that I was completely bitten by every insect in that area, but this could have happened to me anywhere. If you're like me, then just bring a lot of insect repellent. We highly recommend this place to anyone who would like a relaxing vacation in a really beautiful place.

My boyfriend and I just returned from a glorious week at Sand Dollar Cove. What a great time we had. The price is exceptional and the amenities are more than expected. I felt as though I was visiting family. We will definitely plan a return trip in the near future and I would highly recommend this adventure to anyone that needs a stress free vacation in paradise!

    The Perfect Vacation!!

We had the pleasure of staying at the Sand Dollar Cove Cottages for 8 nights....and we plan on returning again! This was our 4th trip to the Bahamas but our first time to Abaco. The use of the boat was a huge plus! We went bonefishing during the day and explored the beach in the evenings. The accommodations were top notch, very clean and had everything we needed for a most pleasant stay. Chad was a wonderful host and was always around to help out...he even charged the battery in our rental car! We enjoyed his homemade biscotti and Conch Salad. We will definitely be back and can't say enough nice things about this place. Thanks for everything Chad! S&S :)

Best place to stay in the Family Islands

Great location - perfect host - super well equipped - spotless. I have been to many of the Family Islands and this apartment is by far the best place I have stayed. The only thing I missed from home was my Keurig coffeemaker :-) Chad was the perfect host. He is truly interested that you have a great experience. Don't miss out.

    A PERFECT 10 for REST & RELAXATION!

My husband and I stayed at Sand Dollar Cove Cottages for a month (Feb 8 - Mar 8, 2011). We have been travelling to the Bahamas for 6 years but this was our first visit to Abaco. We were not disappointed, Abaco offered everything we had hoped for and more. Our unit was exceptional - well equipped, clean and the best value of anywhere we have ever stayed in the Bahamas. Chad was super helpful prior to our arrival with suggestions of car rental agencies, places to shop (even gluten free!) and fishing charters. His hospitality continued upon our arrival and included a welcome evening featuring his famous conch salad. Having the owner next door is a huge plus as Chad ensured our every wish was taken care of and was able to offer up many tips and suggestions of things to do and see while in Abaco.Shopping on island was a breeze by comparison to some other Out Islands and Maxwell's in Marsh Harbour is better stocked than our big Loblaws Superstore back home in Canada. There is also a reliable pharmacy in town as well. Casuarina Point Beach is one of the lovliest we've seen in all of the Bahamas and a safe haven for all ages and swimming abilities. It offers countless hours of walking, beachcombing for shells, or doing the "Sand Dollar Shuffle" with your toes along the sand bar out front at low tide and successfully finding many! There are also two kayaks and a 14 foot boat and motor to tour around Cherokee Sound in or to venture out fishing. We like to bonefish and found lots of them right in the flats just off shore. There are 3 units that can be rented separately or together for larger groups. They are very soundproof as we seldom heard a peep from our neighbours. The units are well equipped with practically every amenity anyone would ever need from hairdryer, beach towels, CD/DVD player, washer & dryer (including detergent) to a cooler and ice pack for one's travels around island. The linens and towels were all good quality as was everything in the very well stocked kitchen. Cable TV permitted us the luxury of watching our home NHL team play hockey while we sipped on our rum punches in 75 degrees - sweet!!! Within hours we felt right at home at Sand Dollar Cove. It is a safe and peaceful spot to relax and unwind. We came as "guests" and left as "friends". Thank you again Chad for your kind and sincere hospitality and for permitting us to share your small "Piece of Heaven"- We hope to return next year for 6 weeks! Kim & Paul (ON Canada)

What a wonderful place to stay. It was so so clean and comfortable. The property was much nicer than it looks on the foto and the owner is so proud of his place and takes really good care of the property. This is the best place ever!

    Amazing Abaco and Casuarina Point

My husband and I had the joy of staying at Sanddollar Cove Cottages for our 10th Anniversary. It was a wonderful escape! The cabin was stocked with everything we needed and the screened in porch was a relaxing spot to see the view of the cove. The private beach was beautiful and peaceful. It is where you would find us reading a book or using the kayak that was available. Chad is a wonderful host and so thoughtful! He had a bottle of champagne waiting for us upon our arrival to honor our anniversary, made us his "famous" conch salad, went out of his way to get us crabs for dinner one night (and cooked them for us) and is a fountain of information about the island of Abaco. And what he doesn't know he will find out!! We would love to come back again (for a longer period of time) and bring our friends with us!!!

One of the best beach vacations ever.... we will be back.... my daughters can't wait.....

Sanddollar Cottages sits on a BEAUTIFUL beach. I can not stress enough how beautiful this place is. The water is so clear that we could see the bottom with the moonlight. Sometimes we fished until dark just to enjoy the view and the breeze. We took walks on the beach at night without a worry on our minds because the place is so quiet and private. My girls enjoyed finding sand dollars and sea biscuits. The accommodations were just superb. New, comfortable, clean, organized, well kept to the minimal detail. Mr. Effinger really takes pride of his rental property so that they have a home flavor to it. He will greet you personally upon arrival and he is an endless source of help and information. We found a new friend in him. The boat was fun and reliable, we had lots of fun in it. We rented both units (we were two families of 4 each) and since the units have a dividing door that locks from either side, we enjoyed both units equally. I truly can not wait to go back.

    May 1 - 15th 2010...Won't be forgotten!

We stayed at Sanddollar Cove Cottages from May 1 - 15th 2010 and we absolutely loved it. The accomodations were excellent, they felt roomy and had all amenities needed. The kitchen space was better than what many people have in their condo's and fully equiped. We spent much of our time exploring the vast flats of Cherokee Sound, which just so happens to be about 100 feet from the cottages. With use of the boat we were able to see many different fish, turtles, rays and even a few small (2') sharks. We were also able to catch many bonefish on the fly right out front of the cottage plus we gathered a number of conch for some meals plus other shellfish. Essentially we became Bahamians for two weeks. This was our second trip in two years to Casaurina Point and it won't be our last. We would highly recommend Sanddollar Cove to anyone who wants to sit back, relax and enjoy life in the slow lane.

We enjoyed our stay at the Sand Dollar Cove Cottages! The cottages themselves are affordable and very comfortable and clean; we truly felt like we got some rest despite all the fishing we were doing! Chad and Sharron were extremely accommodating and helpful – if we needed anything, we just asked and there it was! We truly enjoyed our stay at the Cottages and definitely recommend staying with Chad and Sharron (and Sheba, too!)! We are looking forward to our next visit to Abaco and to be able, again, to stay with them.

    A small piece of Paradise

We had the pleasure of spending a week at Sand Dollar Cove Cottages. We spent a week chasing the bonefish around the white sand flats of Casuarina Point. It was great fun, beautiful views and lots of fish to been seen. Catching them is a different story. My wife and I are new to bonefishing so a stumble on your cast will send the school scurrying. Chad was our main contact and he is a great host with lots of local knowledge. We had access to two kayaks and a 16 foot boat/motor which allowed us to fish the entire area. Chad is well kept with supplies. Hence, I broke my fly rod at the tip and he had one I could borrow. One night while we were cooking, the barbecue gas ran out. He had a spare tank and the grill hot in minutes. A great experience all around! Thanks Chard & Sharron ~ we hope to see you again soon!

Rob and I stayed at SandDollar Cove Cottages for 9 nights at the beginning of February. Casuarina Point is a place in Paradise. The beach is beautiful with very interesting tide action allowing the sand bars to come and go at different times in the day....so planning your water activities was an interesting adventure. I loved the kayaks and the ability to explore the waters edge and the islands beyond. The cottage was Great....great space for a couple, great ammenities, and the screened-in porch kept the ocean and beach in view at all times. Chad and Sharron were great hosts. Chad, thanks for all your help, info and fine cooking, especially the Conch Salad! I highly recommend this as a vacation for couples and little children as the beach and water is ideal. Abaco Island is easy to get to and there are so many places to explore once you are there. For me, a nice change from the all inclusive resorts and so nice to have your own space and the beach right out your door. I highly recommend everything about SandDollar Cove Cottages........Lianne and Rob

We had such beautiful weather during our stay it was sad to depart back home to the snow. Chad and Sharon (the hosts) are amazing people. I know it sounds cliche, but words really can't describe the wonder of Chad and Sharon's little slice of paradise. My wife and I needed some rest and relaxation away from everything. This is exactly what we got at the Sanddollar Cove cottages. Unfortunatley, we did not get to meet Sharon but Chad was an absolute gem. He treated us like royalty. The accomodations are second to none missing no ammenity, the location is right out of a Bahamian postcard, privacy galore. Truly a must see. Thanks Chad and Sharon for sharing your dream with us.

One of the most relaxing vacations I have EVER taken. Beautiful beach, sparkling water, and the greatest sunrises & sunsets you could ever imagine. Chad and Sharron are two of the nicest, friendliest people I have run in to, and I can't forget the little pup Sheeba...what a joy to be around. Not only great hosts, but very knowledgeable about the island, the people, and fun places to go. Again I have to say that I have never seen such a beautiful beach. I must admit that I took a great part of it home with me...I am looking to get into the seashell business. What a great place! Can't wait to come back to paradise!

Six of us just returned in early June from a long weekend in the Abaco's and had the pleasure of staying at Sand Dollar Cove Cottages and meeting Chad & Sharron, wonderful host. The cottages are brand new, immaculately clean, tropically furnished with complete kitchens and spectacular open water views. Tranquil, relaxing, beautiful, are some of the adjectives that come to mind. Town is not far, so you can go in for shopping, dinning, boating, or stocking up on supplies. We'll be back. Barbie

Wow! We recently had the pleasure of staying at Sand Dollar Cove Cottages while vacationing with 2 other couples. What a perfect setting -- right on the beach with access to snorkeling, bone fishing, shelling and a multitude of activities. We couldn't have asked for more beautiful accommodations and the price was so affordable! The cottages were completely furnished with everything from big screen TV's with DVD players, full kitchens, bedrooms & baths but nothing could compare to that ocean view!! Our host & hostess, Chad & Sharron, were so accommodating (and a lot of fun too!) We can't wait to come back to Abaco . . . and there's no place we'd rather stay than Sand Dollar Cove Cottages!

My buddies and I stayed at the SandDollar Cove Cottages for about 3 weeks for business/pleasure. We had the best time! Chad and Sharron were great hosts, they keep the place impeccable and their hospitality is 2nd to none. I would recommend SandDollar Cove Cottages to anyone looking for a great place that is private, beautiful, serene, quiet as well as AFFORDABLE! This is the place for the first-class deep-sea fishing, bone-fishing, scuba diving, site seeing, snorkeling, swimming. I could go on and on about the activities out here to do but there is no words to describe how amazing it really is. I plan on coming back next year my honeymoon. I can’t wait to bring my beautiful wife to be to this gorgeous island to stay at the SandDollar Cove Cottages. As a young couple, we don’t have a lot of $$ to start out with. That is why I am so thankful that this little piece of heaven exists and is available for next to nothing. You won’t get better service anywhere else. I think the world of Chad and Sharron and everything they have accomplished at SandDollar Cove Cottages. Feel free to call me if you want more information about my experience!
